Microsoft has upgraded Xbox systems with a new communication function that allows users to play with their pals across numerous platforms and communities. The tech behemoth has updated its official blog page to highlight the new Xbox update, which will enable the Discord Voice functionality for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles. Previously, in July, the business announced its first agreement with Discord in order to "streamline the audio experience" for Xbox platform customers.

Discord is a platform that allows users to connect in private or public chat rooms, and it is compatible with most major operating systems and web browsers. The Discord Voice feature allows users to interact with other Discord members straight from the console via voice channels or group calls. Users will be able to connect with their pals across numerous platforms, including mobile, Xbox, and PC, thanks to this new feature.

Xbox users, for example, will now be able to see who is on the call and who is speaking while playing on their consoles. Furthermore, while playing their favourite games, players will be able to control the volume and switch between Discord Voice and Xbox game chat.

How to Activate the Discord Voice Chat Feature

To enable the functionality, Discord mobile app users must first link their Discord account to their Xbox account. Users who have previously connected their accounts will not be considered. To access this functionality, all users must re-link their accounts. Only then will Xbox users be able to join any Discord voice channel or call and have it transferred to their consoles.
