The third beta of watchOS 11 was made available to public beta testers by Apple today, enabling non-developers to test out the new features before the software ships this autumn. Two weeks have passed since the release of the second beta.
After registering on Apple's beta software website and updating your iPhone to the public beta version of iOS 18, you can download watchOS 11. To access the watchOS 11 Public Beta option under Beta Updates, you must launch the Watch app on your iPhone, navigate to General, pick Software Update, and then open the Watch app.
Apple introduced the Vitals app with watchOS 11 to provide you with a daily summary of your health indicators and alerts you to any abnormalities. It does this by comparing your levels during the preceding weeks with data gathered at night, such as heart rate, sleep, respiration rate, and oxygen saturation.
In addition to having new widgets like Shazam and Translate, Smart Stack is also smarter because it can recommend widgets based on time, date, location, and daily schedule. You can use interactive widgets to access Live Activities and app features directly from the Smart Stack.
With Apple offering an effort level for cardio-based exercises, Training Load is a new method of gauging how long and how hard workouts affect the body over time. This allows you to know when to take breaks and when to push yourself farther.
You can now alter the requirements for your Activity Ring based on the day of the week, and Apple has added support for days off. You can now take a vacation from action for as long as you like—a day, a week, a month, or longer—without breaking a streak.
More exercise options, Check In for Messages, an updated Photos watch face, enhancements to Double Tap, and more are among the other new features. More details can be found in our watchOS 11 roundup.
